  1. What type of hair extensions do you sell?

Our exclusive DEN Extensions hairline is comprised of 100% raw Indian hair and 100% virgin Brazilian virgin hair. Both textures have never been chemically processed.

  1. What is the difference between raw and virgin hair? 

DEN Raw hair is 100% unprocessed human hair that not only has never been chemically altered for texture, pattern or color but is also cut from a single donor. This means that the hair is literally cut from a single donor’s head then cleaned and sewn unto a weft. Our raw extensions are less silky and slightly courser than our standard virgin hair. Raw hair is the highest quality and purest hair in today’s market.

DEN Virgin hair is 100% human hair that is not chemically processed. However, our virgin hair is often steamed to create a more uniformed curl patters.  Although virgin hair is somewhat processed it maintains its integrity because it has not been chemically processed by dye, perm, or bleach or harsh washes.

  1. How many bundles are needed for a traditional install?

For ideal fullness, we recommend 2-3 bundles of DEN Extensions (if using lengths 10” – 18”) and 3-4 bundles (if using lengths 18” – 26”) for your install.

  1. How many bundles are needed for a closure install?

We recommend 2-3 bundles plus a 4X4 HD lace closure for average fullness for a closure install.

  1. Can I wash straighten/apply heat apply heat/swim in or dye my DEN Extensions?

Yes. Remember, DEN Extensions are raw/virgin hair so you can do just about anything that you can do with your natural hair.  Use light heat protectant to preserve your extension’s natural curl pattern when heat styling.

  1. How can I schedule an appointment?

Be sure to include the type of services needed and whether you will be purchasing Royal Hair by Den extensions.  We will gladly get back to you within 24 hours. 

  1. Do you accept walk-ins/last minute appointments?

We do not accept walk in appointments. However, you may schedule a last minute appointment up to an hour before you would like to come, by calling us at 202-215-5981.  Appointments booked within 24 hours of the service time are considered last minute appointments. Additional service fees may apply.

  1. Do you offer consultations?

Our goal is to ensure that all clients are confident and comfortable. As such, we offer phone and in person consultations at no cost to you. Please note that no actual services will be provided during consultations.

 

Preparing for your appointment

  1. How should I prepare my hair for my appointment?

Please wash, blow dry and moisturize your hair, immediately, prior to your appointment. A healthy scalp promotes growth, please make sure you scalp is clean and free of buildup. Avoid using products that will leave a greasy, oily residue on your hair. Healthy strands grow longer and stronger, therefore we recommend getting a trim at least 4 weeks prior to your appointment. Lastly, hair must be completely dry and tangle free.

  1. How should I prepare my extensions for my appointment?

As a courtesy to our stylist, please ensure that all extensions are freshly washed, detangled, completely dry and organized by length prior to your appointment.

  1. How can I purchase DEN extensions for my appointment?

The majority of our clients have fallen in love with our V and Indian hair textures. I highly recommend you choose this hair for your next weave installation. To reserve hair for your appointment, you’ll simply need to let us know at the time of scheduling and we will have it ready for you. In addition, clients can purchase hair anytime through.

  1. How can I purchase Royal Hair extensions for my appointment?

The majority of our clients have fallen in love with our Virgin Natural/Straight and Raw Indian hair textures. I highly recommend you choose our hair for your next weave installation. To reserve hair for your appointment, you’ll simply need to let us know at the time of scheduling and we will have it ready for you.

  1. Are you able to dye my extensions prior to my appointment?

We are happy to dye Royal Hair by Den extensions. Should you wish to request dye services please notify us via text 2020.215.5981 or email: royalhairbyden@gmail.com; at the time of scheduling your appointment or at minimum three days before your appointment. Please note that you must submit a picture of your desired color at the time of your request. Unfortunately, we are unable to dye hair purchased from other vendors.

 

Services

What services do you provide? How much is each service? How long is each appointment?

Here’s a list of our most commonly requested services, should you wish to request a service not listed below, please contact us directly for a complimentary consultation.

Traditional Install w/minimal hair left out, cut and style. ($100 +) - 2.5 hours

Closure install, cut and style. ($120 +) – 2.5 hours

Weave maintenance- includes tightening and styling only. ($40 +) -  30 minutes

Sleek styles, including pony tails, buns, half up half down styling ($75 +) – 1 hours

Braid down, unit placement and styling ($75 +) – 1.5 hours

Where are you located?

We are located in a private space in Howard County, Maryland.

 

Maintenance

  1. How long will my extension installation last?

Installations with proper maintenance typically last between 7 – 9 weeks. 

  1. How long will my DEN Extensions last?

We stand proud behind our hair and are confident that your DEN Extensions will last a long time with proper care. Expect to reuse our bundles over and over again.  

  1. Do you offer weave maintenance?

Yes, we offer weave maintenance please refer to the services listed above. Please note that we only offer maintenance to installations done by Royal Hair by Den.

  1. How can I ensure that my natural hair remains healthy?

We recommend that you give your hair and scalp its normal required attention while wearing weave extensions. That means washing, conditioning and moisturizing regularly. It’s important that you ensure that your braids are completely dry after washing. Hair that stays damp for too long may get matted and develop an unpleasant odor.  

 

Units

  1. I’d like to purchase a unit that isn’t part of our ready to wear unit collection. Do you provide custom wigs?

Yes, we are able to provide custom wigs upon request. Please schedule a free consultation to start the process. 

  1. Will your ready to wear units fit me?

The elastic/adjustable caps and bands used provide flexibility and you can self-adjust to your perfect fit.

 

Shipping

  1. How long will it take to receive my DEN extensions?

Most DEN Extension orders are shipped within 2-5 business days from the date of purchase. All orders are shipped free of charge via USPS priority mail and will require signature confirmation.

  1. How long will it take to receive my Royal Hair by Den Ready to wear unit?

Most Royal Hair by Den Ready to wear units shipped within 7-10 business days from the date of purchase. All orders are shipped free of charge via USPS priority mail and will require signature confirmation.
